MUJI PARKSON LE THANH TON Opened

On Friday, November 27, the first MUJI store in Vietnam – MUJI PARKSON LE THANH TON – opened in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam's largest city, with the largest sales floor among MUJI stores in Southeast Asia.

The interior of the store is warm and relaxing with soft indirect lighting and textures of natural materials such as soil, bricks, and reclaimed materials. Waste wood from traditional Vietnamese houses are applied around the cashier counter to create a gateway for customers visiting the first MUJI Vietnam store.

More than 5,000 items are available for everyday life including clothing, household goods and food items. We also offer a variety of services, such as embroidery and stamps, as well as consultation service for storage and interior coordination provided by interior advisors. The cafe counter serves coffee, green tea latte, bread, cakes and other light meals. We also sell local seasonings and traditional crafts produced by Vietnamese ethnic minorities.

Prior to the opening of this store, a pop-up store was held for a limited period and we have been communicating information about our store and products through SNS. As a result, the level of expectation towards the opening of this first MUJI store was quite high among local customers.

On the opening day, we welcomed many customers from morning till night, and we heard many warm comments such as “It’s the first time that I tried the embroidery service. I enjoyed it very much because I could choose my favorite characters and patterns” and “Since there is a cafe counter, I was able to shop comfortably with my friends while drinking tea.” The opening of the store was reported by many local media and local bureaus of Japanese media.

By providing products and services that serve the daily lives of local residents, we aim to build connections with every customer, and to create “a simple, pleasant life and society” together with the Vietnamese customers.
