The Release of the MUJI's New Furniture Series "Boards and Legs Furniture"
On Thursday, November 12, MUJI's new furniture series “Boards and Legs Furniture” was released.
MUJI aims to solve the problems faced by people and the society by bringing simplicity and beauty into daily life through its products and services. We will continue to thoroughly refine the “quality,” “price,” and “meaning,” and create products that are most trusted by customers in the basic fields of clothing, food, and househole items. At the same time, we will work together with our customers to create “a simple, pleasant life” that enjoys the quality and simplicity of “this will do.”
The way of living has changed significantly due to the impact of COVID-19. In addition to the basic daily activities of “sleeping,” “eating,” “sitting,” and “learning,” “working at home” has become a part of our daily life. We have developed this series of furniture made of boards and legs in order to make every daily activity comfortable. It is also the first time in 11 years that MUJI releases a new furniture series since the launch of MUJI REAL FURNITURE.
The new furniture series introduces beds, sofas, and tables. Pared down to the simplest structure of a board and legs, the designs eliminate waste and offer diversity and versatility that can be used anywhere and by anyone.
Legs are sold separately so that one can choose the height to fit one’s own lifestyles. The legs can be easily attached by simply screwing them into the body. By changing the lengths of the legs following changing lifestyles, these furniture can be used for a long time, thus leading to the reduction of waste as well.
