Announcement: Organization and Personnel Changes

Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd. (hereafter RK) announced the following changes in the organization and the executives to take effect on February 1, 2017.

1. Organization Change

  1. New Executive Officers
    We will increase the number of executive officers and decentralize the power and responsibility to carry out business with timeliness and accuracy.
    Those representing relatively large affiliates outside Japan will also be appointed as new executive officers of RK Group. We expect that their local decisions keep up with the group policy.
  2. Corporate as Global Center
    Corporate functions in RK headquarters will support the back office of the whole group so that local organizations can concentrate on the front line. The major changes are as follows:
    Accounting & Finance Division will decide the group policy for accounting and cash management.
    Corporate Legal Affairs will be newly established.
  3. IDÉE Business Unit
    A new division to support IDÉE Co., Ltd. will be established within RK. RK will be further involved in the management of the brand, people and merchandise of the affiliate, and will promote the IDÉE brand to MUJI customers.
  4. Reinforce Corporate Governance
    Audit Office will be divided into Store Audit Office and Global Audit Office to develop the audit efficiency on the group level.
