Donations & Assistance

In September 2025, Ryohin Keikaku renewed its membership program as the MUJI GOOD PROGRAM to realize a "truthful and sustainable life for all" through digital services. We aim to create a world where everyone can naturally choose "good actions" by digitally enabling mechanisms that connect everyday actions—such as shopping and browsing information—to social contributions.
The MUJI GOOD PROGRAM is a point program linked to MUJI's services. Points accumulate through shopping, reading articles, posting reviews, and more. These points can be used not only for shopping but also for donations. A particularly distinctive feature is the system allowing donations starting from just one point. By making donations not something special, but a natural choice extending from daily life, it lowers the barrier to social contribution.

We designed the MUJI GOOD PROGRAM as an app which is not merely a purchasing tool, but also a platform supporting the fundamentals of daily life. Reading articles, writing reviews, sharing on social media—these everyday actions of our customers create a cycle that generates positive social impact. For example, viewing articles about local disaster preparedness or food safety before or after shopping leads learning itself directly to "good actions."
Points also accumulate by participating in resource circulation activities, such as returning unwanted MUJI clothing or plastic products, or by declining plastic bags and using your own reusable bag.
The MUJI GOOD PROGRAM aims to transcend the boundaries between stores and online, creating a cycle where everyday actions contribute to society, based on the concept of "Good for you, good for someone else, good for society".
Donations are directed to four areas aligned with Ryohin Keikaku’s material issues: 1. Disaster Prevention & Emergency Humanitarian Assistance, 2. Food, Health: Supporting Life, 3. Building Communities and the Future, and 4. Supporting Daily Life and Culture. For example, donations in the disaster prevention field go to organizations providing emergency support during disasters, while donations in the health field support organizations raising awareness about breast cancer. Donation recipients are selected through a rigorous process, including the use of checklists to ensure legal compliance, transparency, and fairness.
As of November 12, since the launch of the MUJI GOOD PROGRAM in September, the cumulative number of donation members has exceeded 2,700. This represents approximately nine times the annual cumulative number of donors achieved through our previous online donation system, the "MUJI Online Fundraising System," on the online store. Customers have shared feedback such as, "I'm proud that I can contribute to society while shopping."

The MUJI GOOD PROGRAM is more than just a point system. We aim to deepen collaboration with local activities and evolve into a hub connecting local governments, NPOs, and residents. We are also exploring ways to allow users to view local event information and activity reports from donation recipients through the app. We want to expand the "cycle of good actions" beyond MUJI, into local communities and society. This vision includes diverse activities that support daily life, such as local shops and events.
The MUJI GOOD PROGRAM is an initiative that makes our vision of creating "a truthful and sustainable life for all' accessible to everyone. Would you like to join us in nurturing a world where your choices connect to someone's smile?
